Swiss stocks - Factors to watch on June 23

ZURICH/BERLIN, June 23 (Reuters) - The Swiss blue-chip SMI
 .SSMI  was seen opening 0.1% lower at 10,517 points on
Thursday, according to premarket indications from bank Julius
Baer  JBPRE01 .
    Here are some of the main factors that may affect Swiss
stocks:
    
    SWISS NATIONAL BANK
    Ongoing inflationary pressure means further monetary policy
tightening will likely be needed, Swiss National Bank Chairman
Thomas Jordan said on Wednesday, after the central bank last
week raised its interest rate for the first time in 15 years.

    CREDIT SUISSE  CSGN.S 
    Sky News reported that Royal Bank of Canada, Credit Suisse
are among the banks being lined up to fund a takeover bid for UK
