ASML CEO: Unlikely that major China competitor will emerge as long as market remains open
ASML CEO: Unlikely that major China competitor will emerge as long as market remains open AMSTERDAM, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Executives for Dutch computer chip equipment maker ASML ASML.AS said on Wednesday that demand for its products in China is strong, and that it is unlikely a major domestic Chinese competitor will emerge as long as it is able to sell and service products there.
ASML is restricted from selling its most advanced tools in China due to US-led export restrictions, but it remains a key market expected to make up around 20% of sales in 2026, CEO Christophe Fouquet and CFO Roger Dassen said on a call with analysts following third-quarter earnings.
