Feb 20 (Reuters) - Aegon AEGN.AS plans to remain a
long-term stakeholder in ASR Nederland ASRNL.AS , its CFO
Duncan Russel told Reuters on Thursday.
As ASR continues to buy back shares, Aegon will participate
on a pro-rata basis to keep its shareholding at the same level,
Russel said.
As part of a $4.9 billion deal selling its Dutch business
segment in 2022, Aegon received shares equivalent to a 29.99%
stake in ASR.
"(The deal) has resulted in a very strong company," the CFO
said, adding that his company remains "very happy long-term
patient shareholders."
