Assembly Biosciences soars on partnership with Gilead

** Shares of drug developer Assembly Biosciences ASMB.O
more than double to $2.10 premarket
** Company says it has entered into a 12-year partnership
with Gilead Sciences GILD.O to develop antiviral therapies,
with an initial focus on hepatitis B and hepatitis D viruses
** ASMB will receive $100 mln upfront payment, including
equity investment, along with potential for future regulatory,
commercial, opt-in and collaboration extension payments
** Up to last close, shares down 44.2% YTD
