UK competition watchdog launches inquiry into ABF's acquisition of Hovis

Dec 19 (Reuters) - The UK competition watchdog said on Friday it has initiated a merger investigation into Associated British Foods' ABF.L acquisition of Hovis Group Limited, examining whether the deal could reduce competition in the UK market.
