Accession Therapeutics makes two Board appointments including Martin Nicklasson as Chairman and Pierre d'Epenoux as Non-Executive Director
 
 
Oxford, UK, 19 October 2026 - Accession Therapeutics Limited, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing next generation cancer immunotherapies, announces the appointment of Martin Nicklasson as Non-Executive Chairman. He will be joined on the Board by Pierre d'Epenoux as a Non-Executive Director.
 
Martin Nicklasson brings nearly four decades of global leadership experience in driving strategic growth and organisational transformation across the biopharma industry. Martin is currently Chairman of Zealand Pharma, having contributed to the transformation of the international biotech company over the past 11 years. Martin was previously Chairman of Kymab, a UK based biotech where he led the completion of the $1.45 billion acquisition by Sanofi in 2021. Martin held prior Board positions in many biotech companies including Basilea Pharmaceutica and Nykode Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharma company dedicated to the discovery and development of novel immunotherapies. Previously, Martin was Chief Executive Officer of Biovitum and SOBI, and formerly President and Executive Vice President within Astra and AstraZeneca.
 
Pierre d'Epenoux is a senior biotech and pharma executive with over 30 years of international experience in operational management, strategic planning, business development and M&A. Most recently, Pierre was Chief Executive Officer of ImCheck Therapeutics, an immuno-oncology company focused on solid and haematological cancers which was acquired by Ipsen for up to $1.2 billion in December 2025. Previously, Pierre held senior corporate development positions in Sanofi, Baxter Healthcare and Merck KGaA. Pierre is currently the chairman of Elkedonia, a French-Belgian biotech company in the field of neurology and depression, and an advisor to several biotech organisations.
 
Martin takes the place of Nick Cross who steps down from the post of Executive Chairman but remains as a Board Director. Nick has led Accession as Executive Chairman since he co-founded the company with Bent Jakobsen, CEO, in 2021.
