LONDON, Feb 6 (Reuters) - AstraZeneca AZN.L has been
approached a couple of times by Chinese authorities about their
investigation into the drugmaker's former senior executive Leon
Wang and has provided information as needed, its chief executive
said on Thursday.
The company has no further information to share about Wang
and is not permitted by Chinese authorities to speak to him,
Pascal Soriot said at a press conference after the company
released fourth-quarter results.
AstraZeneca placed Wang on extended leave in December from
his position as international executive vice president and China
president, following his detention in October.
