U.S. stock indexes fell on Thursday following the latest batch of quarterly
corporate earnings reports, while data showed the number of Americans filing new
claims for unemployment benefits fell last week as expected.  .N 
    At 10:33 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.01% at
34,931.16. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.21% at 4,365.2 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was down 0.43% at 14,582.624.
