Morningstar says Aussie tech stocks 'relative safe-havens'; sub-index rises

** Technology stocks .AXIJ rise 2.6% to 2,296.7 points

** Morningstar says Aussie software firms, largely sheltered from impact of U.S. tariffs, relative safe-havens for investors

** Says long-term value of communications cos like Megaport MP1.AX and Audinate AD8.AX, though exposed to tariffs, should be relatively unaffected

** Adds Xero XRO.AX and Seek SEK.AX may see indirect impact if tariffs slows growth in Australia

** Donald Trump said on Sunday he would announce tariffs on semiconductor imports over the next week, signaling that exclusion of smartphones and computers from tariffs on China will be short-lived

** XRO gains 2%, SEK adds 1%, MP1 up 0.5%, AD8 rises 2.7%

** However, AXIJ down 16.3% YTD
