The German government on Wednesday welcomed the easing of tensions over computer chipmaker Nexperia, with an economy ministry spokesperson calling it a step in the right direction.
"The easing of tensions is a very good sign, which we generally welcome. It's a step in the right direction," said the spokesperson at a regular government news conference in Berlin.
"To our knowledge, talks between the Netherlands and China are still ongoing and not yet concluded. It would, of course, be highly desirable to reach a solid political agreement."
