** Shares of Aura Energy AEE.AX fall 12.9% to A$0.135,
their biggest intraday pct loss since Aug 5
** The uranium explorer receives commitments to raise ~A$9
million via the issue of 64.3 mln shares
** Issue price of A$0.14 per placement share represents a
discount of 12.5%, as of the last close
** Says funds will be used for development of Tiris Uranium
Project in Africa and others
** Stock hits its lowest level since Nov 15
** Over 1.7 mln shares change hands, 2.3x the 30-day avg
** Stock down ~49% YTD, including current session, as at
0246 GMT
