Australia's Autosports jumps on higher half-year profit

** Shares of Autosports Group  ASG.AX  rise as much as 5.2%
to A$2.42, its biggest intraday pct gain since Dec. 22, 2023
    ** Automotive dealer company reports 2H23 profit from
ordinary activities after tax attributable of A$35.2 mln ($23.06
mln), up 2.1% from 2H22
    ** Declares interim dividend of 10 AU cents per share
    ** About 239,581 shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of 61,393 shares
    ** Stock up 0.9% so far this year, as of last close
