** Shares of medical device maker Avanos Medical AVNS.N rise 4% to $16.18 in afternoon trade

** Company posts quarterly sales of $179.6 million on strong sales of pediatric feeding solutions, beating analysts' estimate of $177.3 million, according to data compiled by LSEG

** Company posts fourth-quarter adjusted profit of 42 cents per share, slightly above analysts' estimate of 40 cents per share

** Company posts 2025 adjusted profit between $1.05 to $1.25 per share, below analysts' estimate of $1.70 per share

** In the last 12 months, AVNS has fallen 19.3%
