** Communications and networking services provider's Q4 consolidated profit slumps 50% after recording an inventory charge vs year-ago gain

** AVAN's Q4 net profit drops to 60.8 mln rupees ($713,300); expenses jump 56%, faster than 18% rise in rev

** Stock extends YTD losses to ~22%
