ATHENS, June 9 (Reuters) - Greece has pushed back by a
week to July 17 the deadline for the binding bids for a 25-year
concession to operate a major Athens toll road, privatisation
agency HRADF said on Friday.
Greek construction groups Ellaktor HELr.AT and Avax
AVAr.AT currently operate the 70-km (44-mile) Attica Motorway
ring road.
ΗRADF has shortlisted eight investors, including Vinci and
Macquarie, as part of a tender for a new contract for 25 years
after the existing one expires in 2024.
In a statement on Friday, HRADF said it decided to extend
the deadline upon "request of the majority of the prequalified
investors."
