ATHENS, July 15 (Reuters) - Greece's privatisation agency
has opened two sealed bids in a tender for the long-term lease
of the country's biggest motorway, Egnatia Odos, it said on
Thursday.
The binding bids were submitted in April by a consortium of
Vinci SGEF.PA , Mytilineos MYTr.AT and Avax AVAr.AT and a
consortium of GEK Terna HRMr.AT and Egis Projects.
The agency will check that the bids meet the criteria set in
the tender and the expectation is that the bidders will be asked
to increase their offers, it said in a statement.
The concession, which includes financing, operating and
maintaining the 658 km (411 mile) stretch of motorway and three
road connections, lasts for 35 years.
