India's Avenue Supermarts shares slip on Q2 profit drop
BENGALURU, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Shares of Avenue
Supermarts AVEU.NS , which operates the DMart chain of retail
stores, were down 3.6% on Monday after the company posted a drop
in second quarter profit.
The retailer's standalone profit after tax fell nearly 10%
to 6.59 billion rupees ($79.2 million) for the July-September
quarter from a year earlier, it said in an exchange filing on
Saturday.
