U.S. stock indexes slipped on Wednesday as investors awaited minutes from the
Federal Reserve's meeting to gauge the health of the economy and the pace of
interest rate hikes to stamp out spiking inflation.  .N 
    
    At 13:34 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.34% at
30,861.7. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.04% at 3,829.7, while the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.05% at 11,327.993.
