ECONOMY

ISTAT releases January industrial output data (0900 GMT) and bulletin on the state of the economy in January and February (1000 GMT).

Fitch rating agency scheduled review of sovereign debt rating on Italy.

ENERGY

Italy will contribute 9.966 million barrels, or around 13.5% of its total security stocks, to a coordinated release of strategic oil reserves, joining other International Energy Agency members, the country's energy ministry said in a statement on Thursday. The oil reserves would be released within the "next few weeks", the statement said.

COMPANIES

STELLANTIS STLAM.MI

The company is exploring deals with Chinese carmakers whereby they would invest in the Fiat owner's struggling European operations, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday.

INTESA SANPAOLO ISP.MI

Italy's data protection authority said on Thursday it had fined Italy's biggest bank 17.6 million euros for illicit processing of data belonging to around 2.4 million customers the bank moved to its fully digital unit Isybank.

GENERALI GASI.MI

The insurer is interested in replacing French peer AXA AXAF.PA as a partner for Monte dei Paschi di Siena BMPS.MI and in expanding commercial deals with UniCredit CRDI.MI, its chief executive said on Thursday.

The yacht maker on Friday said an independent financial adviser has called Czech investment group KKCG's offer to double its stake in the firm "not attractive."

The Franco-Italian chipmaker unveiled plans on Thursday to retrain workers and deploy robots in its older chip manufacturing plants, avoiding closures as it navigates industry challenges.

Asked about the prospect of becoming CEO of the Tuscan bank, the CEO of the utility, Fabrizio Palermo, told Corriere della Sera in an interview published on Friday he had made himself available to join Monte dei Paschi's board list to "give my contribution", but declined to comment further.

National broadcaster RAI's CEO Giampaolo Rossi said conditions exist for a green light to a potential merger between broadcasting tower operators Rai Way and EI Towers, daily MF reported on Friday. It added that Rossi raised the possibility of discussing the merger the RAI's next board meeting.

AVIO AVI.MI

Shares in the rocket maker fell as much as 16% on Thursday after the  group forecast a 2026 order backlog between 2 billion and 2.1 billion euros ($2.4 billion), below its 2025 backlog.
