UK MoD General Service Respirator Agreement
Avon Rubber p.l.c. is pleased to confirm that, further to the announcement that it was the preferred bidder for the above contract on 3 November 2017, Avon Protection has now entered into a 5 year contract with the UK Ministry of Defence ("MoD") for the resupply and in-service support of its General Service Respirator.
Production is expected to commence during the first half of 2019, after product approvals are complete, with the contract anticipated to generate revenues in the order of 16 million over the 5 year period. Avon Protection will incur additional capital expenditure of 3 million across financial years 2018 and 2019 to obtain product approvals and prepare for production.
