U.S. stock indexes inched lower on Tuesday after labor market data compounded
worries about growing weakness in the economy, while profit-taking in some of
Wall Street's most popular stocks added to the losses.  .N 
    
    At 13:29 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.15% at
38,627.97. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.14% at 5,275.99 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.15% at 16,802.806.
