Investment Update - Pantheon Specialty Limited

 

B.P. Marsh and Partners Plc (AIM:BPM), the specialist private equity investor
in early stage financial services businesses, is pleased to announce an update
on Pantheon Specialty Limited ("Pantheon").

 

Background to the Investment

 

B.P. Marsh invested in Pantheon in June 2023, alongside its Founder and CEO
Robert Dowman, subscribing for a 25% shareholding.

 

Robert has over 30+ years of experience in the insurance industry and is seen
as a leading London Market Casualty broker, specialising in the larger more
complex liability placements across the world, whether that be on a
facultative or programme basis.

 

Since investment, B.P. Marsh has provided Pantheon with a loan facility of
£4.5m. The provision of this loan, alongside Pantheon's strong performance to
date, has allowed the business to make a number of key hires, in line with
Pantheon's strategy to build a market leading independent specialist broker
across multiple markets. Pantheon are on course to deliver £5m of EBITDA in
their first full year of trading.

 

Appointment of Howard Green

 

Pantheon will be appointing Howard Green, the former Chairman of Besso
Insurance Group Limited ("Besso"), to the Board, subject to regulatory
approval. Howard will also assume the role of Group Chairman.

 

Howard was one of Besso's founding members and architects and has considerable
experience in building and leading international broking businesses.

 

Howard was also the Chairman of Besso's Property division. Howard brings to
Pantheon his wide breadth of client and market relationships, which will make
him extremely well placed to assist Pantheon on its growth trajectory.

 

Robert Dowman, the Founder and CEO of Pantheon commented:-
