** Co's board approves proposal to acquire kitchen appliances brand 'Morphy Richards' in India and other South Asian regions from Glen Electric for 1.46 billion rupees ($16.46 million)

** BJEL on track to gain the most in a day since May 12

** YTD, BJEL shares down ~16%
