Halliburton tops third-quarter profit estimates on international oilfield demand
Halliburton tops third-quarter profit estimates on international oilfield demand Oct 20 (Reuters) - Halliburton HAL.N topped Wall Street expectations for third-quarter profit on Tuesday, as higher demand for its oilfield equipment in Latin America helped offset muted activity in the Middle East due to prolonged conflict in the region.
The US oilfield services provider posted an adjusted profit of 60 cents per share for the three months ended September 30, compared with analysts' average estimate of 58 cents, according to data compiled by LSEG.
