Balfour Beatty plc (the "Company") was informed on 26 June 2018 by The Trustee of the Balfour Beatty Employee Share Ownership Trust (the "Trust") that the following Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities received, for nil consideration, the number of Ordinary Shares of 50p each ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company shown below against their name following the release of Ordinary Shares on 26 June 2018 in relation to a share award made on 26 June 2015 pursuant to the rules of the Company's Deferred Bonus Plan ("Award"):

As previously announced on 29 June 2015, the Award to Mr Quinn was made as compensation for an award that he forfeited on leaving his previous employer.  Mr Quinn elected to sell the minimum number of Ordinary Shares in order to meet income tax and national insurance obligations in respect of the Award and to hold all remaining Ordinary Shares received under the Award.  Details of the number of Ordinary Shares sold and the price at which they were sold will be announced following completion of the sale of Ordinary Shares. 
 
The acquisition of Ordinary Shares took place in Jersey, Channel Islands.
