** Shares of aluminum can maker Ball Corp BALL.N up 4.2% at $53.94 premarket

** Co raises its annual profit forecast after upbeat Q1 results, helped by resilient demand and a tight leash on costs

** Sees full-year comparable profit growth between 11% and 14%, vs previous forecast of more than 10% growth

** Says direct impact from U.S. President Donald Trump's 25% tariff on aluminum is manageable, and is working to mitigate the effects of volatility in the metal's premium prices

** BALL has fallen 6% YTD, as of last close
