Romania's Banca Transilvania H1 net profit up 48.3% y/y

BUCHAREST, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Romanian lender Banca
Transilvania  ROTLV.BX     
    * Says its net profit climbed to 901.04 million lei ($213.73
million) in the first half of 2021, up 48.3% on the year, while
the overall Group's consolidated net profit jumped to 1.02
billion lei. 
    * Says the group's total assets amounted to 115.3 billion
lei at
the end of June, up 7% from the end of last year.
    * Says the EBA non-performing exposures ratio was 3.47% as
of June
31, 2021. The non-performing exposures coverage ratio according
to EBA standards was 148%.  
    * The bank's CAR, including the profit of the first half was
23.54%. 
    * "It is a period of relaunch for Romania, and Banca
Transilvania
has contributed to this process once again, by increasing
lending and operations processing above the market average,"
said Ömer Tetik, Chief Executive Officer of Banca Transilvania.
