Romania's Banca Transilvania net profit up 48.89% y/y in 2021

BUCHAREST, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Romanian lender Banca
Transilvania  ROTLV.BX     
    * Says its net profit was 1.78 billion lei ($402.59 million)
in
2021, up 48.89% on the year, whereas Banca Transilvania
Financial Group's consolidated net profit amounted to 2.05
billion lei.
    * Says the BT Group's total assets amounted to 132.5 billion
lei
at the end of December, up 23.26% on the year.
    * Says the non-performing exposures ratio of Banca
Transilvania,
according to the EBA ratio, is 2.71% as of Dec. 2021. The total
coverage ratio according to the EBA standards is 166%.
    * The bank's CAR, including the profit of the year was
24.46%. 
    * "We will continue to invest in people, products and
technology,
strengthening our position on the market both through
responsible organic growth and through possible future
acquisitions," said chairman Horia Ciorcila.
