Aug 10 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press reports and 
events to watch which may affect Romanian financial markets on 
Thursday. 
     
    DEBT TENDER 
    The finance ministry plans to sell 800 million lei ($205.73 
million) of Aug. 2018 treasury bills.  BNR031  BNR041  
 
    OMV PETROM 
    Romania's oil and gas company OMV Petrom  ROSNP.BX , 
controlled by Austria's OMV  OMVV.VI , will release second

    Petrom is seen reporting a second-quarter net profit of 
about 640 million lei ($164.65 million), a 3.4 percent rise on 
the quarter. It posted a 619 million lei net attributable to 
shareholders in January-March. 
     
    ROMGAZ 
    Romania's state-controlled natural gas producer Romgaz SA 
 ROSNG.BX ,  SNGRq.L  is seen recording a 50.5 percent quarterly 
fall in second quarter net profit to 279.9 million lei ($71.94 
million), a Reuters poll of three banks and brokerages showed.

    BANCA TRANSILVANIA 
    Romania's private commercial bank Banca Transilvania 
 ROTLV.BX  will release second quarter results. 
     
    TRADE 
    Romania's foreign trade deficit widened by roughly a third 
to 5.84 billion euros ($6.86 billion) on the year in the first

    KMGI - BLACK SEA REFINERY 
    Oil refiner KMG International(KMGI) wants to open more 
petrol stations in Romania and Bulgaria and is on the lookout 
for acquisitions in central Europe once its legal problems are

    CEE MARKETS 
    The crown firmed on Wednesday, rebounding from a six-week 
low against the euro as data showing a rise in inflation raised 
the chances of another Czech interest rate hike this year.

    WHEAT SALES 
    A United Nations aid agency recently purchased about 25,000 
tonnes of wheat to be sourced from Romania or Bulgaria to be
