BUCHAREST, Dec 11 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press 
reports and events to watch which may affect Romanian financial 
markets on Thursday. 
     
    INFLATION, ENERGY DATA 
    Romania's National Statistics Board to release November 
inflation and ten-month energy resource data at 0800 GMT. 
    A median forecast of eight analysts polled by Reuters shows 
annual inflation at 1.6 percent in November. 
     
    DEBT TENDER 
    Romanian debt managers tender 500 million lei ($139.16 
million) worth of Jan. 2018 treasury bonds. 
     
    TRADE DEFICIT 
    Romania's trade deficit  ROTBAL=ECI  rose 0.7 percent on the 
year to 4.86 billion euros ($6.02 billion) in the first ten 
months, the National Statistics Board said on Wednesday.

    BANCA TRANSLVANIA 
    Banca Transilvania  ROTLV.BX , Romania's third-biggest bank, 
said on Wednesday it would buy Austrian lender Volksbanken AG's 
Romanian business, in a deal that could mark the first move in a 
wave of sector consolidation in the eastern European country.

    FUNDING BUFFER 
    Romania's hard currency financing buffer stands at 9.23 
billion euros ($11.46 billion), shielding Romania from a 
potential financial crisis, Budget Minister Darius Valcov was

    CEE MARKETS 
    Central European currencies were mostly stable on Wednesday, 
with the zloty staying close to a four-month high versus the 
euro, reached on rising expectations there will be no more
