BUCHAREST, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press 
reports and events to watch which may affect Romanian financial 
markets on Thursday. 
 
    DEBT TENDER 
    Romanian debt managers aim to sell 1.0 billion lei ($242.20 
million) worth of one-year treasury bills.         
     
    TRANSGAZ 
    Romania's state-owned gas pipeline operator Transgaz 
 ROTGN.BX  is due to release third quarter results. 
 
    INFLATION 
    Romanian consumer prices  ROCPI=ECI  fell 1.6 percent on the 
year in October as expected, compared with September's 1.7 
percent fall, data from the National Statistics Board showed on

    PUBLIC SECTOR WAGES 
    Romania's lower parliamentary house approved a 10 percent 
rise in salaries of state employees on Wednesday, putting more 
pressure on a 2016 budget already stretched by pending tax cuts 
and other pay awards ahead of a national election.

    FITCH RATINGS 
    Romania's existing fiscal plans are unlikely to undergo 
significant changes following the nomination of a new prime 
minister to succeed Victor Ponta, Fitch Ratings says. The main 
sovereign rating sensitivity remains the possibility that fiscal 
loosening jeopardises the stability of public finances.

    CEE MARKETS 
    Central European currencies mostly firmed on Wednesday as 
the appointment of new political leaderships in Poland and 
Romania helped calm nerves after uncertainty over policies in

    CORRUPTION 
    Romanian parliament approved a bill on Wednesday that sets 
up an agency dedicated to recovering stolen assets from people 
convicted of corruption. The funds that result from selling 
assets will be redistributed to education and healthcare 
sectors, as well as law enforcement agencies.
