BRASILIA, July 14 (Reuters) - Brazil's Treasury said on
Friday it had hired investment banks Itau BBA, J.P. Morgan and
Santander to assist the country with its first sovereign
sustainable bond issuance.
The Treasury said in a statement on its website the banks
will provide technical assistance as the government builds a
framework for such bonds, while also helping it structure the
bonds and supporting their inaugural issuance.
During the process, the Treasury "will continue to monitor
market conditions for potential traditional external debt
issuances," it added.
