- The following are significant news stories, press reports and events on Tuesday. ALL TIMES GMT (Poland: GMT + 2 hours):

BANK MILLENNIUM

Polish lender Bank Millennium MILP.WA reported a 23% rise in its quarterly net profit on Tuesday, topping market expectations, as lower provisions for Swiss-franc mortgages offset a hit from lower interest rates, higher taxes, and funds set aside for legal risks tied to consumer credit.

BANK EARNINGS

Analysts estimate that the nine largest banks listed on the Polish stock exchange will post a combined net profit of approximately 9.15 billion zlotys ($2.40 billion) for the second quarter. This is about 1.5% less than a year earlier, but 13% more than in the first quarter of 2026, Parkiet daily reported.

TNT PRODUCER NITRO-CHEM

Poland's Nitro-Chem, a major supplier of trinitrotoluene (TNT) for NATO countries' armies, has signed a letter of intent with defence company BAE Systems BAES.L to build a production plant in Britain, the Polish Defence Ministry said on Monday.

FUEL PRICES

Poland may take action to lower fuel prices again if they remain volatile, possibly in the last two weeks of August when many Poles will be returning from their summer holidays, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Monday.
