TORONTO, March 26 (Reuters) - Bank of Montreal BMO.TO has hired Joe Kostandoff from CIBC CM.TO to co-head its global equity capital markets team as veteran Peter Miller will move to a vice chair role, according to a memo seen by Reuters.

Here are some details:

Kostandoff will partner with Eric Benedict to lead the bank's global ECM team and report to Carrie Cook, the bank's global head of investment & corporate banking.

Kostandoff comes from CIBC, where he spent the last 22 years, most recently as co-head of equity solutions and equity capital markets.

Miller, who served as the co-head of global ECM for 17 years, will focus on client relationships and overall platform leadership in his new role, the memo said.

The changes are effective June 22, according to the memo.

BMO did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
