Bankinter Q3 net profit rises 9% from same period in 2025
Bankinter Q3 net profit rises 9% from same period in 2025 MADRID, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Spain's Bankinter BKT.MC on Thursday said its third-quarter net profit rose 9% from the same period in 2025, helped by a rise in lending income.
Spanish banks are mainly retail lenders and benefit from variable-rate lending. Higher interest rates are starting to support margins, which are just being partially offset by higher deposit cots.
The country's fifth-largest bank by market value reported a net profit of €295 million ($331.7 million) in the July-September period, compared to €270 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Reuters expected a €295 million net profit.
