Adds company news, updates futures

(Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.27%.

* OFCOM: Britain's telecom and media regulator Ofcom said it found no immediate competition concerns with Openreach's special offer, which allows internet service providers to upgrade customers to high-speed fiber connections at discounted rates.

* CMA: Britain's competition watchdog said a group of independent experts has rejected nearly 80% of price increases sought by water firms, saying the requests for increases beyond that allowed by the water regulator were largely "unjustified".

* LLOYDS BANKING GROUP : Lloyds Banking Group LLOY.L said that the Financial Conduct Authority's proposed scheme regarding motor finance mis-selling may require an additional provision, which could be material to the British lender.

* JOHNSON MATTHEY: Johnson Matthey JMAT.L said it expects its annual profit to come in at the higher end of its initial guidance.

* HSBC: HSBC HSBA.L said it planned to privatise Hong Kong's Hang Seng Bank 0011.HK after its majority-held subsidiary came under fire for its performance  in the city and mainland China.

* UNILEVER: Co-founder of Unilever's ULVR.L ice cream brand Ben & Jerry's , Ben Cohen, expects the conflict between Ben & Jerry's and Unilever to continue as he carries on a quest to try to buy back the brand.

* COMMODITIES: Oil prices fell after Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a plan to end the war in Gaza, Shanghai copper jumped as trading resumed in China after the National Day holiday, and gold steadied amid hopes of further U.S. rate cuts this year.

* EX-DIVS: Tesco TSCO.L, Barratt Redrow BTRW.L, Kingfisher KGF.L , WPP WPP.L will trade without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out on Thursday. .L/XD
