Sept 17 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.13%.
* ASTRAZENECA: AstraZeneca AZN.L said that its asthma drug Fasenra failed the main goal of a late-stage study in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
* BARRATT REDROW: Britain's largest homebuilder Barratt Redrow BTRW.L raised its annual dividend, after reporting a 34% surge in revenue following the merger with Redrow last year.
* PRS REIT: British real estate investment trust PRS REIT PRSR.L said it will sell its operating unit, PRS REIT Holding Company, which owns all its property assets, for about 646.2 million pounds ($881.2 million) to a fund advised by UK-based Waypoint Asset Management.
* BEN & JERRY'S: Ben & Jerry's co-founder Jerry Greenfield has departed from the ice cream brand he helped establish nearly half a century ago, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday.
* SHELL: Shell SHEL.L said it is adjusting operational hours and staffing levels at some of its gas stations in Indonesia as a result of supply shortages.
* GSK: GSK GSK.L said on Wednesday it plans to invest $30 billion in research and development and supply chain infrastructure in the United States over the next five years.
* GLENCORE: Australia's Orion Minerals ORN.AX said on Wednesday it has signed a non-binding term sheet with a unit of global miner Glencore GLEN.L for $200 million–$250 million funding for its Prieska copper-zinc project in South Africa.
* INFLATION: British inflation held at 3.8% in August, remaining the highest of any major advanced economy, according to official data.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices eased slightly, gold eased due to a slight uptick in the dollar, and copper futures fell.
