Australia's Base Resources jumps on FY24 production forecast upgrade

** Shares of mineral sands producer Base Resources BSE.AX
rise as much as 2% to A$0.25
** Co upgrades its FY24 production forecast, citing
improvements in heavy mineral concentrate quality
** Co upgrades rutile production forecast from Kwale mine to
38,000-42,000 tonnes from 35,000-41,000 tonnes
** Also upgrades ilmenite production to 145,000-160,000
tonnes from 130,000-160,000 tonnes
** About 7.4 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of 3 mln shares
** Stock up 58.1% this year, as of last close
