Australia's Bass Oil rises on strong production at Indonesia field

** Shares of Bass Oil Ltd  BAS.AX  rise as much as 5.1% to
A$0.041, set to mark their best day since Sept. 6 if gains hold
    ** Oil explorer posts August oil production from its joint
venture (JV) share in Tangai-Sukananti oil field in Indonesia of

    ** Says total field production for August from co's JV share
in Tangai-Sukananti oil field was 27,528 barrels of oil, while
co sold 28,247 barrels of oil during the same period
    ** Stock down 35% this year, as of last close
