** Biotech firm says additional late-stage data show its experimental wet AMD drug axpaxli kept eye disease under control for longer than a standard treatment

** Adds that patients on axpaxli maintained vision gains for up to a year and showed slower worsening on eye scans versus Bayer’s Aflibercept

** Patients took nearly 40 weeks to show moderate disease worsening vs 16 weeks on Aflibercept; safety issues were mostly mild and resolved over time - OCUL

** Adds that it plans to seek U.S. approval based on this single late-stage study after recent FDA guidance
