** U.S. President Donald Trump said that on Monday he will
announce plans for 25% tariffs on all steel and aluminum
imports, including from Canada – a move that could have
devastating consequences for both industries in Canada, which
rely on U.S. markets.
** In a bid to diversify the provincial economy in the face
of threatened U.S. tariffs, British Columbia's Premier David Eby
has promised to speed up approvals and permits to finish C$20
billion worth of projects, from critical-mineral mines to
electricity transmission infrastructure.
** Media company Stingray Group RAYa.TO , one of the
country's largest radio-station owners, has raised money for
acquisitions, as radio rivals Bell Media BCE.TO and Corus
Entertainment CJRb.TO work on asset sales to pay down debt.
