- The Ontario government is calling on Ottawa to put its
digital services tax on hold, saying the new levy is putting the
Canada-U.S. relationship at risk and could have serious
repercussions on trade.
- Bell Canada parent BCE BCE.TO is expanding into the
United States by acquiring internet provider Ziply Fiber for C$5
billion ($3.60 billion), while also putting dividend hikes on
hold in order to help fix its balance sheet.
