'Good start with strong demand' - Bechtle tops STOXX 600 after Q1 results

** Bechtle BC8G.DE stock rises around 5% and tops the pan-European STOXX 600 .STOXX index after the German IT service provider delivered strong Q1 results

** Bechtle posted Q1 EBT of 61.6 million euros ($72.5 million), up 11.5% from 55.3 million euros a year earlier

** Q1 revenue amounted to 1.57 billion euros, compared with 1.46 billion euros a year earlier

** "A good start with strong demand from German public," Jefferies says

** The broker says there was double-digit growth across all regions in the company's report, without any major impact from higher hardware costs

** "FY guidance was confirmed but leaves upside if the supply situation does not worsen," it adds
