Oct 23 (Reuters) - Beiersdorf BEIG.DE will continue to produce its La Prairie skin care products in Switzerland and is "absolutely not" considering a shift to U.S. production in response to tariffs, its CEO Vincent Warnery said on Thursday.
About 10% of the group's consumer sales in the U.S. are the La Prairie brand. The cosmetics are produced in Switzerland, which faces a 39% tariff rate.
Asked whether the company was considering passing the additional cost on to customers, Warnery said it would not be wise to implement price increases immediately, as prices were already "very high".
