Puig shares rise after 'reassuring' Q2 sales figures

** Shares of Spanish beauty company Puig PUIGb.MC rise 3% after it reported an 8% rise in quarterly sales, as it navigates the challenge of expected higher tariffs in the US, one of its biggest markets

** The owner of brands Rabanne, Carolina Herrera and Jean Paul Gaultier reported Q2 sales of 1.09 billion euros, in line with the 1.1 billion euros forecast by analysts in an LSEG poll

** J.P.Morgan says Puig reported "reassuring" Q2 sales with 7.7% LFL top-line growth, above the broker's estimate of 6.4%, with broad-based growth across segments and regions

** JPM believes that Puig's delivery remains solid even as management cited moderation in Fragrance market growth in an uncertain macro backdrop and beauty demand

** The broker notes that despite concerns on Fragrances moderation, Puig's LFL25 estimate of 6.4% remains ahead of beauty peers, L’Oreal OREP.PA and Beiersdorf BEIG.DE, which should help narrow the valuation gap and support the share price

** The stock tops Madrid's blue-chip index IBEX 35 .IBEX
