U.S. stocks rose about 1 percent on Tuesday, helped by gains in technology
companies and as strong earnings from Netflix and UnitedHealth boosted optimism
over what is expected to be the strongest earnings season in seven years.  .N 
    At 12:48 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.90 percent at
24,793.64. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 1.01 percent at 2,704.79 and the Nasdaq
