March 10 (Reuters) - Belo Sun Mining Corp  BSX.TO : 
 * Announces additional strategic investment by Agnico Eagle Mines Limited 
 * Says Agnico Eagle will purchase a total of 11.68 million common shares at a 
   price of C$0.53 per share 
 * Agnico Eagle Mines entered subscription agreement to make an additional 
   strategic investment of C$6.19 million into Belo 
 * After investment, Agnico Eagle will own 74.18 million shares, or 19.95%, of 
   co's issued and outstanding shares on a non-diluted basis 
 * Intends to use the proceeds of the transaction to advance the detailed 
   engineering and development of the volta grande project
