Highwall miner update

 

Bens Creek Group plc (AIM:BEN), the owner of a metallurgical coal mine in
North America supplying the steel industry, announces that the highwall miner
unit 81 ("HWM 81") is expected to recommence operating on 21 August 2023.

 

As announced on 26 June 2023 HWM 81 was temporarily withdrawn from service
pending completion of repairs and re-establishment of the necessary benching
following a mining incident in June 2023. Other than a reduction in production
on a temporary basis, The Company has suffered no costs, other than benching
repair, as a result of the damage to HWM 81 and the Company remains confident
that it will fulfil all its current orders.

 

Adam Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of Bens Creek, commented:

on schedule.  We remain confident that we will meet our production targets
