Broadcaster RTL reports lower half-year revenue, missing market view

Aug 8 (Reuters) - European broadcaster RTL Group RRTL.DE reported a 3.2% drop in its half-year sales on Friday, missing analysts' expectations, weighed down by lower revenue from ads and content production.

Its revenue fell to 2.78 billion euros ($3.24 billion) in the first half of 2025, while analysts polled by Vara Research were expecting 2.83 billion euros on average.

It also confirmed its full-year outlook for revenue of around 6.45 billion euros and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes and amortisation (EBITA) of around 780 million euros.
