The following factors could affect Italian markets on Thursday.

    DEBT
    Italy's Treasury placed 5 billion euros in an exchange
auction on Wednesday, attracting final orders for over 17.2
billion euros.
    
    ENERGY
    Italy's regulated household electricity prices will rise by
0.4% in the third quarter of 2023, Italy's energy authority
ARERA said in a statement on Wednesday.
    
    COMPANIES
    BANKS 
    Italian banks repaid some 143 billion euros in targeted
longer term European Central Bank funds on Wednesday, which the
Bank of Italy has previously said accounted for 45% of the total
of 318 billion euros outstanding at the end of March.
    
    PIRELLI & C  PIRC.MI 
    Pirelli said on Wednesday its new board, which is expected
to be appointed on July 31, would propose a new corporate
general management structure for the tyremaker and had picked
Iveco  IVG.MI  finance chief Francesco Tanzi to lead it.

    Bologna, "2023 Labour Festival. Skills and innovation, the
future of work" starts, ends on July 1. On Thursday opening

(1300 GMT); expected attendees include Labour Minister Marina
Elvira Calderone (1330 GMT); Stefano Bonaccini, European
Affairs, South and PNRR Minister Raffaele Fitto (1400 GMT);
dialogue with Transport Minister Matteo Salvini (1655 GMT);
